How do I get my Google review link?
In your Google Business Profile, go to Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link. Google can also generate a QR code there, but only from a computer browser — this tool makes a printable card from any device.
Can I offer a discount or freebie for a Google review?
No. Google’s policy prohibits offering incentives such as payment, discounts or free goods or services in exchange for a review, or for changing or removing a negative one. Fake reviews can also breach Singapore’s consumer protection law.
Can I ask only happy customers for reviews?
No. Google’s policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews and discouraging negative ones. Ask every customer in the same way and respond professionally to any criticism.
Can my staff or family leave reviews?
No. Google treats reviews from current or former employees, family members and others with a conflict of interest as violating its policy.
What if I only have a Place ID?
You can build a review link from a Place ID, but the link from your Business Profile is the better option. Whichever you use, test it on your own phone before printing.
